Go Green Initiative

 Go Green Initiative

As part of our Go Green Initiative Class V Blue presented their morning assembly in keeping with the theme of pollution, its effects and how to help reduce it. Their slogan was “Go Green”. Information was shared in the form of short speeches and poems followed by the song “Save the Earth”. Children came forward with information about causes of environmental pollution e.g. littering, water pollution due to industrial toxic wastes and oil spills; air pollution caused by smoke coming out of factories and vehicles, etc. They also shared information about the effects of pollution on the planet, like global warming and increase in greenhouse gases. Children also made recommendations about how to reduce and control pollution by recycling, conservation and preservations. Most of the information shared was brought forward by the children with the guidance of their teacher.

Askari X's Pride

Askari X’s Pride

Talent at Askari X wins accolade at an international competition.

Aizah Ahmed of class III Yellow added another feather in Askari X’s cap as she won a bronze medal in the International Kangaroo Competition-2012. It was a matter of great joy and pride for all at Askari X as one of our students had performed remarkably well at an international forum. This event speaks volumes for the latent talent and hard work that goes into polishing these young minds. Aizah was awarded with a medal and a shield that she so proudly flaunted amongst her peers giving them the impetus to perform equally well. We at Askari X wish her all the best for her future and once again” well done Aizah!”

A New Beginning

A New Beginning

After the long siesta of a three month long break the students finally woke up to the morning of their first day at school on the 3rd of September. The opening of the schools marks a new beginning for each child irrespective of his age.

The school also opened for the Pre Nursery students opening a magical world of learning for them to explore not just for the first few days but for the rest of their lives. Askari X, true to its tradition, gave a warm welcome to the beginners. The Orientation week starting from Friday the 7th of September aims at providing a week full of fun filled activities for both the new students of our institution as well as their parents. Such events are organized to develop a bond between the school, the child and the parent. Children were exposed to activities not only to make them feel at home in the school environment but also to lay out a wealth of learning experience in keeping with the demands of the new day and age. The young cherubs had a ball of a time playing with sand, doing bowling and getting their faces painted. The satisfied parents heaved a sigh of relief as they saw their children settling down in the school environment feeling at home with their caring and affectionate teachers.

We wish good luck to the children embarking on a life long journey of learning and achievement.
